1. March was designated as the “Safety City Bottle Donation Month” with Aquatera’s Bottle Donation Program. There’s no waiting in line – just drop your bottles at Aquatera’s Eco Centre, Landfill or inside the Bottle Depots. Please consider dropping off your bottle donation and helping Safety City become a reality this year.
2. March is Occupant Restraint Month on the Alberta Traffic Safety Plan Calendar. Are you certain that your child’s car seat is installed properly? Next Car Seat Inspection Clinic is Wednesday, March 10th, 1pm – 4pm at the Southside Fire Hall on Resources Road.
3. The Peace Country Classic Agri-Show runs from March 11th – 13th. Come out to the Evergreen Park TEC Centre and check out the Tractor roll-over display and the PTO Display, as well as our Safety City information.
4. Safe Communities is hosting a Safe Boating Course. Do you have your Pleasure Craft Operator Card? The course will run Thursday, March 25th, from 6:30 – 9:30pm. 5. We now have over 50 participants registered for the upcoming Priority Setting Exercise, which will be held Wednesday, March 24th, from 9am – 2pm. If you have not yet registered, please do so ASAP. The purpose of the Priority Setting Exercise is to review data regarding injuries in our community, complete assessments in a group format and arrive at a consensus for community action for injury prevention activities.
