Financial Support
Grande Prairie & Area Safe Communities is a Registered Canadian Charity - we issue official charitable donation receipts for gifts given to our organization.
An endowment fund has also been established with the Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta, with the goal of creating long term sustainable funds for injury prevention in our region. Contributions to this fund can be made through the Community Foundation.
Consider dropping off your bottles to be recycled and use our PowerPlus Donation ID#1279-2818 at either Recycle Plus Depot. No standing in line or need to sort your bottles - Just label your bag with our number, drop them off and the funds will be sent directly to us!
Click on the "Donate Now" link below and CanadaHelps.org will process Credit Card and PayPal donations online. A Charitable Tax Donation receipt will be issued.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of financial support towards keeping our community safe and injury free!

How the Community Spirit Program Helps
Nonprofit Organizations and You Did you know that the Community Spirit Program can help nonprofits like ours when YOU donate? The more money we raise, the better our chances of receiving a grant to support our operations and programs. How does it work? Charitable Tax Credit: If you make a donation to a Canada Revenue-Agency registered charity (like ours), YOU may be eligible to receive a non-refundable charitable tax credit when you file your taxes. When the provincial and federal tax credits are combined, Albertans receive a 50% non-refundable tax credit for every dollar donated over $200. Check out the breakdown at communityspiritprogram.ca. Donation Grant Program: Provides an opportunity for nonprofit and charitable organizations to receive a grant based on the total eligible cash donations received from individual Albertans over a completed 12-month fiscal period. A minimum total of $1000 is required from individual Albertans to apply to the program! What’s the bottom line? Your generosity means so much to us and your support helps our community become stronger and more vibrant. This is what your donations and support can do! Charitable Tax Credit
Great news for donors! • The provincial charitable tax credit on annual donations over $200 is 21 per cent. When added to the federal charitable tax credit of 29 per cent, you receive a 50 per cent non-refundable tax credit for every dollar donated over $200. • For example, if you donate a total of $500 to four or five charities throughout the year, you would receive a combined federal and provincial charitable tax credit of $200. • The charitable tax credit applies to Canada Revenue Agency -registered charities ONLY. These organizations are eligible to issue official income tax receipts. |
